Before you start
Set up the event and validator assignments while you still have internet access. Decide which ticket types or sources each offline validator will handle.
What to do
Enable offline validation
In the event setup, enable Offline Validation only when the team needs to work without internet. The setting allows validators to download their ticket pool and scan offline.
Separate validator scopes
Review each validator’s assigned scope before downloading tickets. Each validator receives only matching tickets. Avoid assigning the same ticket type or source to multiple offline validators: the app’s setup warning says the same ticket could otherwise be validated twice while offline.
Prepare each device before doors open
While connected, download the tickets assigned to that validator and confirm the correct event is ready on the phone. Brief the team on their entrance or ticket pool. Reconnect after offline scanning so scan records can sync.
Keep in mind
Offline readiness is a per-device preparation step. Do not assume every phone has the ticket pool simply because offline mode is enabled.
Do not rely on disconnected devices to block the same ticket across overlapping pools. If your entry plan needs overlap, review the operation with the event manager before going offline.
